Ever wondered how you can better customize your printable planner inserts to help you work smarter, not harder & save you time? What if I told you there is a way you can add text to any planner insert (that you have purchased and have stored on your computer or device) for FREE, would you want to do it?
Well, as a functional planner addict, I know that if I heard this I would be saying absolutely! I LOVE to do things that help make my planning system more effective & honestly, easier on me! One of those things is customizing & tailoring my planner inserts to me by typing on them ahead of time & mass printing so I do not need to continuously fill in the recurring tasks.
The first thing you will need to get to do this is Adobe Acrobat, the FREE version works fine for this but there is also a paid version. You can get the FREE version here.
Once you have Adobe Acrobat set up and you have your printable planner download, simply pull it up in Acrobat. To add text is super simple. You will want to click the pen tool & then the AB cursor tool. This allows you to click anyplace you want on the insert to create a text box. After you type what you want it to say, just size it larger or smaller to fit the area and position it wherever you want!
I personally love to do this on inserts that have recurring tasks to save me time from re-writing the same things over and over again. For instance, my content planner inserts (purchased from Peanuts Planner Co) always have the same tasks/checklist for each piece of content I do. So I simply typed in my checklist on the insert & have printed lots of them & it has seriously saved me so much time & allows me to never forget to do something!
You can also (so long as the shop you purchase from allows it, please read the shop’s insert details) sometimes change the headers of the inserts. This is not something I really suggest as most planner shops do not allow this, but there are a couple out there who actually list in their description that you may alter the insert however you like for personal use. If they allow it, the planner title usually will let you delete and type in whatever you want in its place. However, if the shop does offer an insert with the header you want, I do recommend you purchase to help support your favorite planner shops!
(Disclaimer) Again, please read the item details & policy for the insert you are purchasing from the shop. It usually will tell you if you are allowed to do these things or not & if it doesn’t say, you can always reach out to the shop owner!
Waaah-laaah! You now have printable planner inserts a little more tailored to you so you can work smarter, not harder & save yourself some time down the line!
